Have you ever come across a chocolate vape flavour and been really excited right up until the point you take your first pull? That synthetic garbage aftertaste permeating your taste buds is something that everybody in the vaping community just absolutely despises. Beyond wondering how (or for that matter why) somebody would produce, approve, and promote such a flavour, we all want to come across a solid chocolate flavour one day. Whether it’s an thick flavour overtone that’s left after chain vaping, or the aforementioned aftertaste, some vape flavours just aren’t meant to be—until Canadian e-liquid producer Kloud Panda’s Winter Strike came along.
Kloud Panda has been around for a while, and has been producing some crazy mixtures since their inception. They are, in my personal opinion, a non-stop powerhouse in both the dessert and fruit departments. Out of all of their flavours, I have to recognize Winter Strike as an absolute instant classic. A mixture of chocolate and menthol, Winter Strike meets needs of a couple of crowds without diving too deep into either category. This even blend of mint and chocolate balances to a reasonable all-day vape without that classic thick throat hit we’ve become all too familiar with. It’s not the mint chocolate chip ice cream you’d expect—it’s closer to a chocolate mint gum you might seldom come across. You could say it’s reminiscent of Junior Mints as well. It should be noted that after being vaped heavily for a while, you’ll likely start to get a chocolate syrup aftertaste, but this is miniscule in comparison to that of other flavours. It’s a small price to pay for an amazing blend.
Who’s it right for?
If you’ve already read my Thug Juice review, you can understand I really love menthol flavours. But trust me, these flavours could appeal even to folks who don’t appreciate menthol very much. Unlike Thug Juice, I’d say this mint is tolerable to such a point that vaping it in the morning shouldn’t be a problem and would actually be quite refreshing.
Is it mixable?
As for mixing, the answer is, sort of but no. You could definitely get away with a light touch of vanilla, assuming you only use a little bit and don’t overpower the mint. Or maybe if you really liked mint, you could boost it up a bit, but I’m not sure why you’d want to do much else. Overall, this is a well-balanced and fairly complete flavour with little need for a boost.
